Polling process in Zugdidi kicks off without difficulty in the process

Reportedly, all polling stations of Zugdidi 67 election precincts have opened on time and without delay or difficulty in the process.

A total of 105 polling stations are operating in Zugdidi with a data of more than 120 voters registered. Representative of the “United opposition- National Council-New Rightists” Jina Kartozia alleges that the elections are already forged as a number of the so called dead souls have been identified in the election lists. The vote casting process was kicked off at 8:00 AM.

Meanwhile, the Enguri Bridge (crossing between Georgia proper and the breakaway region of Abkhazia) has been closed since early this morning – 7:00 am. Reportedly, the Abkhazian government is not allowing residents of Gali (Georgian-Abkhazian conflict zone that is mainly inhabited by ethnic Georgians) to arrive in Zugdidi district for voting. People are trying to enter Zugdidi through by alternative roads and passages.
