This first play, “Incomplete Romance” which is one of the most interesting and famous plays performed at the theatre on Athoneli, was hosted by the Literature Cafe in the building of the Amirani Cinema. The starring roles were performed by Nino Nizharadze and Kote Tholordava, and the director was Khatuna Milorava. This is the story about two people, Vera and Konstantin, who ran into each other in the past and had some lovely nights together after which Konstantin disappeared without leaving his name or address for Vera. After several tearful years they meet again and Konstantin can’t recognize his past lover. This drives Vera crazy, and the real drama starts when she decides to make herself known again to Konstantin. The action is full of comedic episodes which literally neutralize the terrible feelings of Vera as we learn that Konstantin lies at every step and every word, and Vera understands how little she really knew about his life is and how he blames all the past swindles on his “terrible” wife named “Cholera”. Meanwhile Konstantin assures Vera about his terrible life and terrible past she also reminds him of how cruelly life has treated her and tries to make him marry her. However, the only thing Konstantin wants from Vera is sex. After several unsuccessful tries to get her into bed Konstantin understands this is not his night and tries to leave her in the city park where they actually met each other. “He will return!!” says Vera after Konstantin leaves but he does not come back. The remarkable work of actors Nino Nizharadze and Kote Tholordava make the performance very attractive and drives spectators into a world of broken hearts. The project “We’ll Come Earlier than You Will” is to be continued and will bring spectators other interesting plays.
