One of the leaders of the Republican Party, Tinatin Khidasheli has presented two candidates who will fight for the seats on behalf of the Republican Party in the 21 parliamentary elections.

Mrs. Khidasheli said two former judges, who once objected to direct pressure and control of the court, Nino Gvenetadze and Nona Toloraia would run for single-mandate MPs in Khashuri and Zugdidi constituencies.

The briefing was held outside the supreme court of Georgia.

'Here are those two ladies, who objected to the forceful, controlled system in the judiciary and as they failed to protect independence of the judiciary in this building, they will try to do this from the parliament,' Mrs. Khidasheli announced and added that no one than these people knew ''the remedies from the disease of which Georgian judiciary must be cured.''
