The Georgian duet “Georgia” is the winner of 2008 New Wave International Pop Music Festival that is held each year in Jurmala, Latvia by earning a total of 352 points.
The Georgian duet that put together the singers, Maka Zambakhidze and Rati Durglishvili qualified in the first place position, while Russian singer Iris came in second place and a singer from Italy was close behind in the third place.
A gala concert of the New Wave 2008 will be held to award the winners of the competition. A total of 17 participants from 14 countries were competing in the festival this year.
