The International Society for Fair Elections and Democracy (ISFED) is launching Voters’ List Audit (VLA) throughout Georgia starting today.

The project ‘Georgia 2008 Elections, Voters’ Lists Improvement’ is funded by the Council of Europe and will cover 75 election districts of the country with the exception of Georgia’s conflict zones of Abkhazia and South Ossetia.

The main objective of the project is to improve the quality of the voters’ lists. During the field work, organization’s representatives will perform the audit using the two methods: List-To-People and People-To –List.

At the end of the project, ISFED will give a press conference to inform the public about outcomes and main findings of an audit and provide its evaluation the quality of voters’ lists in Georgia.
