Just the mention of Valentino makes people think of sparkly women dressed in extravagant dresses on the catwalk. His “V” logo is famous all over the world.

This Roman fashion designer, who started his career by establishing a fashion studio in his home city in 1959 continues working in fashion and remains one of the leading fashion names. Son of an electrical appliance store owner, Valentino Garavani was born in Milan, and grew up drawing fashion costumes. Valentino, who designed the bridal attire of Jacqueline Kennedy, launched his first designer boutique in Milan in 1969. Later Valentino increased his brand’s scope and now, along with clothing, perfumes and accessories can be found under the Valentino name.

Nowadays, Valentino is recognized as one of the top names in Italian haute couture. The boutiques and shops of Valentino can be found all over Europe and from Tokyo to Tbilisi as well, as on April 9 an official branch office of Valentino opened on Chavchavadze Avenue.

This shop, situated in the centre of the city, is not too big but has enough space to stock clothes for both women and men. Two sections are divided separately and present everything for women’s outfits. The shop sells not only clothes but accessories as well, from shimmering belts to bags and ties for men. Shoes can also be found on the shelves of the Valentino shop. The prices are the same as those found in the original Valentino house, but in Tbilisi everything is sold in Georgian lari. The collections presented in the Valentino shop change seasonally.

In future, the Valentino shop plans to increase its creative work in Tbilisi, but as the shop owner commented, for now new plans are being kept secret!

To buy something fashionable you can visit the newly opened Valentino boutique at 40 Chavchavadze Avenue.
