The Georgian Central Election Commission (CEC) has summarized results of vote count of the May 21 parliamentary elections from 2 special polling stations opened in Iraq.

A total of 2, 023Georgian soldiers being on a peacekeeping mission in Iraq were registered in the voters’ list.

Only 25 soldiers failed to take part in the balloting as they were on duty that day. The majority of votes were cast in favor of the ruling National Movement party.
