Georgia's popular singer Anri Jokhadze will represent his country at this year's 57th Eurovision Song Contest, which will be held in the Azerbaijan capital of Baku in May this year.

Anri Jokhadze, who came out on top of nine Georgian singers and bands in a nationwide screening contest which concluded late on Sunday, will travel to Baku with his song "I'm a Joker."

Best known for his vocal ability which widens to four octaves, Anri Jokhadze has so far won 13 international titles and published four albums.

Starting singing at the age of four, Anri Jokhadze also composes and writes songs himself. He is also doubling up for producing, screen and directing musical videos.

Azerbaijan won the rights to host this year's Eurovision Song Contest by winning last year's edition thanks to the triumph of Eldar Gasimov and Nigar Jamal (Ell/Nikki) in Dusseldorf of Germany.

The hosting country is constructing a special hall to entertain up to 23,000 spectators for the song contest which boasts a motto "Light Your Fire" with a logo "Flaming Flower."

So far, 43 countries have expressed their intentions to take part in this year's Eurovision Song Contest which will be held between May 22 and 26.
