Ovashvili received the Le Regard d’Or award for what judges called “the poetry and humanity of his gaze on a child and the discovery of life in wartime”. The prize is worth SFr30,000 ($28,000). Iranian director Nader T. Homayoun won the Talent Tape Award and SFr23,000 for “Tehroun”. A special jury prize went to Rigoberto Perezcano for his film “Norteado”. The 24th edition of the Fribourg Film Festival attracted around 90 films and attracted more than 30,000 people. |
