"I confirm that we are currently examining an official request from the Russian government for the purchase of a ship of this class," he told a news conference following a meeting with Russian Prime Minister Vladimir Putin. "France is open to cooperation with Russia including in defence," he said. RAMBOUILLET, France, Nov 27 (Reuters) - France is studying the possible sale of a Mistral class warship to Russia, despite concerns expressed by Georgia, French Prime Minister Francois Fillon said on Friday.
