Construction of House of Justice Started in Batumi, Georgia Print E-mail

On November 17, 2009, a presentation of construction project of Justice House was held in Batumi. The building foundation was laid by Georgian President Mikheil Saakashvili and the Minister of Justice, Zurab Adeishvili. 

The construction of the project designed by an Italian architect will be finished in about a year, adding another beautiful architectural sight to Batumi.

The building of Batumi House of Justice will be divided for the Batumi offices of territorial divisions of the Ministry of Justice of Georgia: citizens will be able to receive services of Civil Registry Agency, National Agency of Public Registry and the National Bureau of Enforcement – in one building. House of Justice will also include offices of Adjarian Territorial Department of Justice (normative acts expertise), the Prosecutor’s Office of Adjara and Prosecutor’s Office of Batumi.

The offices will be furnished with up-to-date computer and office equipment, intranet and Internet. The project of House of Justice is aimed at improvement of standards of service for the civilians and establishment of one-desk-service method. In a central integrated building, civilians will be able to get birth and marriage certificates, ID cards, passports; register property, submit court decisions, etc.
Currently, Houses of the Ministry of Justice are operating in Zugdidi, Kutaisi, Telavi and Sagarejo. Similar houses will be opened in almost every region of the country.
