Delegation of Parliamentary Assembly of Council of Europe, PACE headed up by Mathias Yorsh, Head of the Monitoring Group of CoE wrapped up holding meeting with representatives of Georgian oppositional political parties.

The delegation heared complaints of the political parties over various violations during the pre-election period in Georgia.

Delegation of Parliamentary Assembly of Council of Europe, PACE arrived to Georgia on April 23. Mathias Yorsh, Head of the Monitoring Group of CoE heads up the 4-member PACE delegation.

The visit of the delegation is oriented at studying the pre-election environment in Georgia in the run-up to parliamentary elections scheduled for May. A number of tightly scheduled meetings have been held with high ranking officials, members of parliamentary opposition and media representatives.

Mathias Yorsh plans to hold a summing up breifing of the two-day visit of the PACE delegation to Georgia sometime later today. The delegation will leave Georgia sometime tomorrow.

Parliamentary elections in Georgia are scheduled for May 21.
