Second international conference Current Trends and Prospects of Development of Tbilisi Real Estate Market opened in Tbilisi today. The conference is aimed at support to the domestic economic development.

The two-day conference is organized by Tbilisi Mayor’s Office under partnership with the Association of Technical Support of Germany GTZ, and it is supported by the US Agency for International Development (USAID).

The first day’s agenda includes discussion of the regulating methods at the real estate market of Georgia as well as the projects to be implemented by the State soon and those already underway.

The central issues of the new plan of land use in Tbilisi will be reported. Participants of the conference will mention the trends at the market of mortgage credits, the situation at the real estate insurance market, prospects of employment in the construction sector, etc. Representatives of both domestic and foreign companies will discuss the review of real estate in Tbilisi and large cities in the South Caucasus, potential of the real estate market and legal aspects, international evaluation standards at the real estate market in Georgia, market of building materials in Georgia.

On the second day of the conference, foreign guests will report to the participants on management at industrial parks, trends of the real estate markets at the developing markets. They will discuss dependence of the real estate market to development of industry. Roundtable Tbilisi at International Exhibitions-Fairs will be held later on the same day. The participants will discuss expediency of participation of Tbilisi in particular international fairs and measures to be taken for the purpose.
